summary/ sumario en ingles solo:
shipment:
it has been very difficult to get all the paperwork processed by the
laywers in brasil. however, we hope that the paperwork will be completed
in 15 - 30 days. then shipment plans will proceed.

money:
mic recieved $1940 from imc-financial for reimbursement of payment for
storage of the computers in oakland during the months of may - nov and for
overland shipping and storage in march (april was already reimbursed).
there is another ~$1000+ available from imc-finance and ~$2000+ in
solidarity paypal account.

alternatives:
this type of shipment (as a donation) has apparently never been done
before in brasil. This is one reason why the process has taken so long.
It was discussed that it may not be worth the continued cost of storing
the computers in oakland, and the efforts of organizers to see this thru.
based on updats, considerations of alts. will take place at the next
meeting

cansado,
mic

"The Defense Data Network (DNN) portion of the Internet still uses the
core model to distribute routing information. But this hierarchical
model has a major weakness- every route must be processed by the core.
This places a tremendous processing burden on the core, and as the
Internet grows larger the burden increases. In network-speak, we say
that this routing model does not scale well and for this reason, a new
model in emerging.

The new routing model is based on co-equal collections of autonomous
systems, called routing domains... Each routing domain processes the
information it receives from other domains. Unlike the hierarchical
model, this model does not depend on a single core system to choose the
"best" routes... The domains share information, but they do not rely on
any one system to provides all the routing information."
