[imc-tech-solidarity] Update from Brazil

I'm really sorry for taking so long for this update, but for several weeks
we had absolutely no news because of the strike of workers in the public
sector. The thing was that the government was trying to approve on Congress
a pension reform that takes away several workers rights. Its a sordid and
long story, so I'll skip the details. The thing was that Lula (president of
Brazil) stabbed the union on the back and people got really pissed off and
went on strike. After several weeks of inactivity, it was impossible to do
anything as there were giant lines of people who just like us, waited for
weeks in order to make things. Now, we finally managed to restablish
contact and things are moving again.

We will do our best now to make this move as fast as possible. This week we
will write Mic about the documents we need from the US to approve our
import request. Once we submit this request, we will wait for the approval
and we will send the document with approval to the US and this goes with
the computers on the ship. So those are the next steps.

The document we will ask Mic to send us needs to have all the details of
the equipment thats being sent - after we do that document, we can not
change the content of shipment. So if theres any chance to get extra
computers, or extra monitors, or extra memory cards, we need to work on
that now.

Any questions, please write me.

Again, I'm really sorry for this taking so long, but the delay was due to
something totally beyond our control. Fucking government!

Best,

Pablo
