[imc-tech-solidarity] Re: tech solidarity twiki page updated

i've been discussion the idea of a debate/conversation about tech-solidarity
with some folks, mostly here in san francisco and brasil. i'd like to see a
good horizontal discussion between all parties potentially involved in these
projects about what 'tech-solidarity' is and should be take priority, at
least in the very recent future, over tech-solidarity projects themselves.
from what i understand, and i could be wrong since i'm just getting involved
now, this is kind of discourse has been missing from many previous projects.


for example, one thing that has recently come up in conversations with
friends in brasil, is that computer boxes are unneccisariy. what is most
important are the most expensive parts of computers, which can be cheaper
and easier to move without the boxs and put together based on local needs in
different places. 

so maybe an irc meeting to talk about some of these things would be a good
idea, maybe even a series of meetings. and we should feel comfortable
throwing ideas at each other on the list.
