[IMC-Tech] meeting 1/02/01

how did the meeting go? are we going to get minutes or logs?

the Tuesday meetings have been semi-regular, in the sense that a number of
people try to "drop in" around 9pm each week to see if there is going to
be a meeting.

the meeting time being inconvient has been brought up a number of
times.  in fact we had a major discussion about it at one of the imc-tech
meetings.(i think you were there manse) what we agreed upon was (as i
recall):

1) we should rotate the meeting time.
2) we should try to build up tech communities in different locations
3) different tech communities should take responsibility for setting up
individual meeting times.
4) we should try to have a global imc tech meeting once a month.

as 2,3 and 4 don't seem to be taking off, lets rotate the meeting
times.  the main reason we have meetings on Tuesday at 9pm EST, is there
has never been a counter proposal for a time.

i think we should be very open to expirementing with new times, but
understanding of the fact that Tuesday 9pm was reached by some discussion
and changing it might (or might not) cut into attendance.

lets see if we can get three times set for the next three meetings, and
post a calendars of it up at tech.indymedia.org.

(ps 9pm EST works pretty well for me, though 8pm would be better.  however
i'm hoping to get slightly more radical proposals)
