Tony et al,
Good to see the list up and about.........a point about open or closed
membership of the list.........As I am sure is the case with many others on
this list, SQUALL gets bucketloads of e-mails every day and we can hardly
deal with the deluge as it is (and get any work done). We are not hopeful
that a massive open e-mail list won't result in another avalanche of
e-mails.......We would rather be in communication with on-it and active alt.
media folk than have to unsubscribe altogether  because of in-tray
constipation. So our preference is to keep this particular list a closed
list of invited alt media types......
