Hello all

I am passing on a mail from a young journalist interested in doing an 
article on subvertising - does anyone know of someone interested to 
talk to him, i thought there might be interest down bristol way - as 
i seem to remeber a short film for Ch4 a while back. He is a friend 
of a friend so i reckon he is ok, and said he resently did a piece on 
Barcelona for the express, so someone could check that out if they 
wanted... Anyway - for who ever feels they want a chat

As promised, I'm pestering you about my subvert feature idea. As i mentioned
the other night, i'd like to do the piece for the Guardian as i recently got a
foot in the door there and as they did a big piece on Adbusters a while ago. I
need to do some research, but i'm looking to see if British subverters are
more numerous and/or more sophisticated these days - i.e. use of computers to
make subtle changes as opposed to the basic spray can.. can't say i know what
the truth of the matter is at present, but i reckon there's a piece in there
somewhere..

I was interested that you said subverting will play a part in this year's May
Day activities - could be a peg for my feature.. are you able to elaborate in
general terms? otherwise i could do the feature in the next few weeks and then
when the subverting takes place, i can pull my pre-prepared piece out of the
hat..

As i said on Saturday, I'm looking to speak to individuals/groups involved in
subverting groups in Britain and was hoping you could help put me in touch. I
of course understand people are (rightly) worried about those working for the
mainstream press, but I believe I can persuade people i'm not trying to stitch
them up because: a) i have verifiable evidence of my own activities, b) i am
able to present to anyone with worries a series of my previous articles on
subjects such as East Timor, depleted uranium, GMOs, the Kurds and one of the
anti-capitalist demos in Canada, c) i have copies of youth CND magazines i
used to edit, admittedly from a while ago....!

What I'd like to do would be to speak to (if possible meet) say three separate
groups/individuals involved in subverting, and if possible go out with one on
a mission. I don't have to know anyone's name or details..

I've done 2 features for the Guardian, and on both occasions they have asked
for permission to make any changes. If the Guardian won't do it, I'd probably
try a magazine...
