[Imc-uk-associates] Proposal to focus this list on a dsei media centre

Hi folks,

dave from indymedia (london) here

ages ago we set up this imc email list
(imc-uk-associates at lists.indymedia.org) with the idea that it could be used
to keep in touch about important developments etc - but it aint been used for
ages and ages....

some of us have recently started a discussion about doing a full on
physical indy media centre for the dsei arms fair week of protests
(www.dsei.org) etc and we want to use a mail list to co-ordinate btwn groups,
so rather than set up a *another* new list, we thought it would be better to
use this one - any objections?

the idea is to run an open media centre for the whole week with reporting,
video and radio streaming etc - more the way things have been done at the
summit style mobilisations

we're about to send an intro email about the media space ideas for dsei,
so expect one tonight or tomorrow, and i know a few of you are already
plotting media projects around dsei - anyway we will be inviting (/need :)
lots of participation to pull it off and rock it as i know we could

there'll be another list used for the day to day organising chit chat 
(probably
the imc london list), but we want to use this one as an initial check in of 
who
is up for it, then keep it low volume for co-ordination and important info.
