hola sara et all:

finally i get ome time to go through my mails ... plus my bloody email
programm crashed agai ... so i had to operate my little mac ... but now
seems happy again ... sooo reading through hundreds of mails ... anywhows
on sara's point above:

there's a new point added to the imc-uk editorial guidelines that deals
with "Disruptive individuals": "Contributions by individuals who
habitually publish above mentioned discouraged content."

so the likes of harlequin, dh, jack(lucid), bobby deaf messenger, etc...
fall into this cathegory. They've been (and still are) abusing the imc-uk
newswire, so my interpretation of the editorial guidelines is that a
posting signed by any of these, or any other disruptive individual for
that matter, should be hidden.

Now, this is the general rule, but sometimes it is difficult, or it may
be better not to apply it stirctly. For example, from my point of view, a
racist posting on its own HAS to be hidded a.s.a.p, but if the posting
has several comments which are anti-racist, or telling the racist
contributor to fuck off, etc... then maybe it's stronger to leave it on
the newswire. In this case maybe the message put across by "people's"
contributions are stronger than the fact of hidding it.

There's no rule on this and it has to be subjectivelly decided by the
person doing newswire admin. If he/she is not sure then the best is to
mail this list and see what other people think ... which is what you've
done :)

In this particular case i would hide it because it only has one comment.

ok, that's my five cents anyway
salut!
