Kudos to the Guerrilla Media team for this jab in the ribs at the Sun and
Campbell's government. For those of you who missed getting a copy of the
printed version handed out over the weekend check this URL while you can:

The following statement has been issued by Dennis Skulsky, President and
Publisher of The Vancouver Sun:
About 20,000 readers of The Vancouver Sun were victims Thursday of
fraudulent distribution of a counterfeit version of the front section of the
newspaper. The knock-off was put out by persons unknown under the name
"Guerrilla Media." Many were distributed by street hawkers. Others were
illegally placed in Sun vending boxes and unwittingly purchased by Sun
customers in place of the genuine Sun newspaper.
The counterfeit edition contained an exact replica of The Vancouver Sun
trademark and logo. The header and entire front page replicated the style of
The Vancouver Sun. Other trademarks were parodied in poor taste while story
lines and boxed items were offensive.
We apologize to those of our readers who were inconvenienced by the
appearance of the counterfeit newspaper in our vending boxes. We have
initiated steps to seek out the perpetrators and will consider appropriate
legal action to protect the trademark and other interests of the newspaper.
Satirical publications that poke good-natured fun at established
institutions are a part of every day life. They lighten our daily burdens
and help to remind us when we take life's events too seriously. Sometimes,
however, such publications cross the line. That was the case with Thursday's
knock-off of The Vancouver Sun by a shadowy organization that styles itself
"Guerrilla Media." Humour became malicious, good fun became slanderous and,
in this case, distributors of the counterfeit version of The Sun trespassed
on the normal distribution channels of the newspaper and defrauded our
customers. A good sign of when the line is crossed occurs when perpetrators
remain invisible behind anonymous names.

In 1788 thousands of disillusioned French people took to Parisian streets
for several disorderly processions. On the 14th July 1789 they stormed the
Bastille and abolished the monarchy.
