>From Youth of Synaspismos
To the IMC Italy

Dear friends,

The reason of this letter is to inform you about our annual festival, which
is going to take part in Athens during the 14-15-16 of September. This
year's festival is being dedicated to the international anti-globalization
movement.
One of the conversations that is going to take place is about "Democracy and
Media" and we would like to have one representative of the IMC in its panel.
Synaspismos (Coalition of the Left) and its Youth took part in the
demonstrations of Prague, Nice and Genoa. In order to reach the best result
for our campaign, we have formed the "Greek Committee for the International
Demonstration in Genoa", with 20 other political, social and activist
groups, which managed to mobilize about 1.500 Greek demonstrators. The 150
Greeks that were denied entrance to Ancona were mostly members of the Youth
Organization of Synaspismos.

About the conversation "Media and Democracy".

The conversation is going to take part in 15 September. The other
participants are going to be Seraphim Findanidis (chief editor of the
"Eleftherotypia" daily newspaper), Pavlos Tsimas (journalist), someone from
the magazine "Enedra" (the magazine of the Youth of Synaspismos) and
hopefully one of you.
We are also sending the whole program of the Festival. Of course we are
going to cover the travel and accommodation expenses of the IMC
representative.
