hi,

my really quick comment is that i don't think this is something the 
new imc group can decide and i'd really like to see the network as a 
whole discuss it cause i think it raises huge questions which have 
implications for local imcs and regional content making and 
distribution.  i have heard and read some good arguments for 
theme-based sites - like youth.indymedia.org (which actually i still 
like especially if the content was culled from other sites and so 
duplicated and young people from all over were collaborating, but 
that has its own problems)......

i'm not behind the idea at this point (as with many things, i could 
change my mind :).

i'm curious what others here think and then i think we could send it 
on to imc process for further discussion.
