Dear joseph, szabo & cristian,
Great to see more interest in creating IMCs in Eastern Europe!
It's a lot of work, but creating free media is worth it...
Sorry for the delay in replying, but the IMC network runs by
volunteers, and if nothing happens, well, you just have to do things
yourself, e.g. read the web pages and the list archives, or send email
messages to public archives, for example. i'm a volunteer living in
Poland, i also help out a bit in the new-imc working group, but i'm
actually spending too much time on this and hoping that others will
join in, so please don't be surprised if i don't say much.
Cross-introduction:
joseph & szabo would like to start an IMC in Romania:

cristian is interested in starting IMCs in Romania & Bulgaria:

Please contact each other!
Here are some suggestions:
(1) Please read through the pages at
http://newimc.indymedia.org
There's a lot there, but if you can read it and follow it you'll
find answers to many of your questions there.
(2) i noticed that joseph & szabo seem to be involved in what seems to
be something like a church. Well, it's of course important that there
are activists from many different groups. But it's preferred that they
are independent from organisations like political parties, churches,
etc. It's OK for people to be *members* of these organisations, but
they need to accept that they only act as individuals in their
Indymedia activities, and that they accept (and encourage)
non-hierarchical running of Indymedia by people of all sorts of
backgrounds, so that no one group dominates any others.
In activist jargon, getting other groups involved is known as
"outreach".
(3) i would suggest that when you're ready to start getting together
people from different groups, you do step 4. of
http://newimc.indymedia.org
> 4.Open a mailing list: newlist.indymedia.org
(if the newlist site is not working, you can do this by emailing
listwork at lists.indymedia.org )
It really makes things easier if all the emails are on a public
archive, and better if you can avoid servers with advertisements.
