Hi Charles and the aspiring IMC South Dakota,

Glad to hear from you!  This is Jay from IMC Philadelphia, and one of the
volunteers on the new-imc at indymedia.org working group.  Welcome to the
exciting adventure we call Indymedia.  Certainly an IMC in South Dakota
sounds like a necessary project.

You apparently have already stumbled upon some of the "how-to" documents
that aspiring IMCs use to guide their organizing.  Make sure to look
carefully through "http://newimc.indymedia.org" and feel free to ask any
questions to new-imc at indymedia.org.

As you can imagine, one of the most salient characteristics of your IMC
will be its involving members of many aspects of the South Dakota
community.  A South Dakota IMC web site would be a great step, but of
course many people in your area don't have regular access to the Internet.
Doing outreach to those who aren't actively on the Internet will be a
challenge, as will involving people from several communities in the IMC's
core.  

I'm excited to see this kind of initiative taking place, and look forward
to hearing about the many successes to come.
