[New-imc] working out a single imc info database

I wrote this quick text  since i am strating to work on this

what do you all think about it ?

We need to join the effort of having a single database detailign

. contact info for network communication (merge contact db and new imc
infos)
. contact info for everyone to join in imc effort (merge contact.php3
info and new imc info)
. details on new imc status (merge contact.php3 page and new imc needs)
. details about present imc (merge info to be polled to create
cities.inc)

Information sources to be merged

. contact.php3
. cities.inc
. IMC_SITE_INFO in the FEATURE mysql table
. new imc summaries and updates
. contact db
. needs of specific tasks

Aims of the software

. user authorized interface to add info
. user authorized inteface to check network contacts
. automatic generation of the contact.php3 page
. possibility to poll information from the db network wide
. automatize sending of information network-wide (maybe coordinate with
imc-proposal subscription)
. automatize new imc summary (?)

Location of the db and of the web interfaces

We are in test mode
Who wants to help in the first stage can coordinate where to do the test
stage.
The final version can reside anywhere we trust :))))

First steps

Designing the new merged db and software collectively will make this a
easier work and not a patchwork
Who is volunteering for helping with this in this first stages should
speak up so we can coordinate and do hte first releases of the job
quick (let's say by september we can have a working stuff :)))
I am volunteering for part of the work, but would like not to do it on
my own :)))))))

Disclaimer

The distinction between network contact and public contact is not to be
intended as a lack of transparency, but we acknowledged long ago that
for both security and organizing reasons, it is possible that the two
contacts are not the same.
