Hey Everyone,

Here an update about the forming of our local imc here in
West-Vlaanderen (nord-west part of belgium).

- - We started with 4 people out of imc belgium with the idea to create a
smaller more localised imc in our "province" (county ?). After taking
too much time to find out ways how we could mobilise people for it;
yesterday we finally had our first meeting with 20 interested people.
Most of them allready signed up for some teams (we currently have tech -
translations - process - edito - outreach and lay-out).

- - I just send out an e-mail to our mailinglist (30 people on it) with an
explanation of the new-imc process. The intention is that everyone reads
the documents and sends his/her remarks back to the mailinglist. On our
second meeting (in 2 weeks) we'll discuss the documents.

- - The tech team is working now to get a basic site online. We'll use
sf-active. We'll use the basic site to see how far translations of it,
will work. We'll also teach everyone who wants to help out how the site
works. (administration and so on).

- - The edito team is making a draft of an editorial policy to be
discussed in the next meeting.

- - Outreach people will work on getting us more known (and make flyers
and so with lay-out people)

More about us in a next update.

Bart
