NOTICE ABOUT LIST SUMMARIES

Dear Listmembers,

With another year rolling to an end it is important we give all imc
participants a chance to catch up on what has been happening in the
network.

Commwork is working on reviving the summaries list to improve
communication on the network. We have achieved open access to
information in indymedia with our public archives, now we need to help
people get key information from those archives.

Please put someone forward for co-ordinate writting a summary of recent
activity on your list. Please include links to the archive and anything
you feel is relevant (you can use html). We will then collate all these
summaries and send them out in one carefully organised email. (If you
have trouble agreeing on a text try the questions at the end of this
email.)

We think communication is the key to keeping indymedia moving forward.
The network has achieved much on "open exchange of and open access to
internal information", what we need to work on now is communication -
people knowing what is happening.

Summaries we receive will be placed on http://internal.indymedia.org
and then posted to the summaries list (
http://lists.indymedia.org/listinfo/imc-summaries ). Around New Year a
summaries Digest will be sent to all IMCs, current and proposed, which
will link them back to your full text on internal.

Please send your summary (or a link to it) to:
imc-commwork at lists.indymedia.org. 

We look forward to reading what you've been up to, rovin
(dlit010 at yahoo.co.nz) and rona (ronaeven at yahoo.com) are currently the
co-ordinators for this project.
