Hi everyone,
I only have one second to respond, then I will likely
be away from e-mail for a few days. Glad to see many
people with different opinions contributing to this
important disussion. Again, Heather and
imc-palestine, as I'm sure you can tell, all comments
are coming from a position of the utmost admiration
for your group and the wonderful work you're going to
do as imc-palestine.
I do still think that directing
jerusalem.indymedia.org to imc-palestine would have
some effect on some people in imc-israel -- at the
very least, they should be informed a decision is
being made and should have the opportunity to
participate. I think the word 'veto' doesn't
accurately describe that kind of participation. My
other quick thought is that what Mike says below may
be an interesting idea. Directing
jerusalem.indymedia.org may have an effect on
imc-israel, but direction jerusalem.indymedia.org.pl
to imc-palsetine doesn't seem to. In that case, as
Heather says, the question would be how to link
Jerusalem in the left column, but I think it would be
a much less difficult decision. Perhaps then
jerusalem.indymedia.org could be a place for projects
that happen jointly with work from both imc-israel and
imc-palestine? :-)
Wish I had more time to write and throw around
ridiculous ideas. Looking forward to seeing how this
conversation has progressed when I can get to e-mail
again.
With respect to all,
Jay
