[New-imc] imc palestine url

hello new-imc!
bilal forwarded a note about the debate asking for a
response from the imc-palestine list so i will reply -
but first an intro:
i'm an israeli-american who's been with imc boston for
1 1/2 years... i've travelled to volunteer in quebec,
dc, nyc, israel, and palestine imcs and will be
returning to the middle east the end of this month, i
work mostly in video but i also like facilitating and
outreach... now to the url issue:
imc palestine has 100% support from me on the
jerusalem.indymedia.org url and frankly i'm outraged
that new-imc would be concerned about the opinion of
imc israel. the name says it all - imc israel. they
published in hebrew and english only for a full year
before adding arabic - they have paid postions there
and could have done this shortly after the site was up
- their commitment to palestinian rights is
demostrated by the process they did take.... somehow
while the code was being worked on for imc-palestine
imc israel used it for their site and then cut ties
with imc palestine. this is still the situation so to
turn around and ask these guys what they think isn't
neccessary in my book. 
however, i think there is another issue coming into
play here and that is imc's relationship to other imcs
and this is something that i am concerned with. i
support their self-determination but i'm concerned
about their general understanding of imc process. i
have been helping to cordinate this project from
abroad and have often felt the spirit of imc is swept
aside in the name of self-detemination. i have not
brought this up before because i've always taken it
personally, being an israeli, it's much easier to
think they are attacking me... but perhaps that is the
issue here not the name.
