> DEFINITION OF A SPRINGFIELD IMC MEMBER:
> A Springfield IMC member is: a person who sponsors or actively
> participates in the listserv, meetings, or projects of the Springfield IMC
> or provides financial or in-kind support to the organization.
> Springfield IMC members should also be familiar with consensus (see
> Participation Guidelines). This definition may be changed or modified by
> the Springfield IMC Spokes Council.
> SPRINGFIELD IMC PARTICIPATION GUIDELINES:
> We, participants in the Springfield Independent Media Center, agree
> 1. To use indymedia to report the truth and to provide background,
> references and sources whenever possible
> 2. To respect the viewpoints and privacy of other members of the group, to
> contribute constructively to the group and to use *consensus to reach
> decisions
> 3. Not to use or tolerate internal harassment or violence or threat
> thereof in conjunction with our media work
> 4. Not to represent our personal viewpoints as viewpoints of the 
> Springfield IMC
> 5. Not to accept any form of influence or coercion from groups or
> individuals over our participation in the Springfield IMC
> 6. To allow only individuals who will agree to our Mission, Guidelines and
> Policies to serve on the Springfield IMC Spokes Council, working groups or
> any other decision making group.
> *Springfield IMC members are expected to be familiar with the consensus
> process. An article on the consensus process in facilitated meetings can
> be found on the web at http:// www.springfieldimc.org/consensus.htm or a
> hard copy may be obtained from a Springfield IMC Spokes Council member.
> 7. To post a notice to the membership if a member is unable to fulfill a
