Other comments: Our collective is based around the state and draws from a large variety of political viewpoints, lifestyles and socioeconomic groups. Our group has worked to bring together communities across virginia, through educational efforts and direct action ranging from protests and civil disobedience to community projects like food not bombs, in addition we have organized for mass mobilizations, most recently being the WEF protests, and S29, A16 and A20 protests in DC working to make it affordable/possible for all interested people to attend the protests and meetings surrounding them.
Resources to contribute: in the future we can likely contribute server space, for now we would like to continue to have richmond.indymedia.org in the future we can contribute server space/bandwidth through the Charlottesvile Activist Tech Collective.

Why we want to be an IMC: Richmond.indymedia.org currently exists, myself and several other people effectively inherited the site from an outgoing group of activists. Unfortunately the information and passwords to fix some techincal problems on the site has been lost and we require these to make the website fully functional again.

We hope to use the site as a way to establish a common ground for persons across the state to discuss ideas and promote events that would not normally be covered in the mainstream media.
