hi friends,
i talked with vidhi (imc-india) and stephen (working with the imc
nepal collective from madison) yesterday. vidhi had called me and i
returned the call. after talking to both vidhi and stephen about the
folks in nepal who are wanting to make this collective happen, i am
confident that they are not aligned with one political party, whether
that be the maoists or some other group. they are more journalists
and activists than simply intellectuals from what i've learned. but
let's let them speak for themselves :)) and learn through the
process. our principles and criteria make some of this clear and
it's good for us to be cautious and careful in the process with all
imcs and not assume things.
dri, because i've been in discussion with vidhi and stephen, i am
happy to help with the application as need be.
