Everyone,
Chapel Hill IMC, which was formerly approved of, has finally
gotten its act together and now would like to be called NC-IMC. We would
like to be re-approved under the new name NC-IMC.
1) All our documents are now on-line, on the chapelhill.indymedia.org.
They're easier to read online - so I'll just redirect you there.
The Mission Statement and Principles of Unity are on this page:
http://chapelhill.indymedia.org/process/about.php
Since we are regional IMC, see how "regions" work on that page.
Just go to the "NC-IMC How to Join and How the City\Region Features Work"
section.
2) Our revised Editorial and Newswire policy are right here:
http://chapelhill.indymedia.org/process/openpub.php
As you can tell, we've made the features be city-specific and now have a
process
of establishing working groups or at least liasons for differing cities
and regions. We also now have a functioning web-site :)
FYI, local features should be put up there this Thursday, and we're
hoping to redo our local "i" logo to include a lighthouse.
Lastly, we'd like to have a few things set-up for us on your listserv.
We'd like to create 5 listservs to help us communicate:
imc-nc at lists.indymedia.org - for general communication among nc
imc-nc-editorial at indymedia.org - for editorial communications
imc-nc-tech at lists.indymedia.org - for tech communications
imc-nc-av at lists.indymedia.org - for Audio/video communications
imc-nc-announce at lists.indymedia.org - for announcments to people
outside the IMC process.
Also, we we're wondering if you could create an alias nc at indymedia.org
that would redirect to an account of ours - chindymedia at metalab.unc.edu.
That's our general info contact box.
If you have any comments, or *need any more documents*, just e-mail
me at hhalpin at email.unc.edu.
