Hi you all,
maybe, I can help answering some of the questions
after talking with the people who organize IMC Beirut,
because I think sometimes it can be difficult for
people who don't know our network that well yet to
figure out what exactly is wanted from them.

Yes, they have and yes, they are aware of that. The
Beiruti activists scene is fairly small, people all
know each other, so they were under the impression
that just by existing it would be understood that they
are open for everyone, which they practically are.
However, we talked about the importance of inviting
everyone interested to an open first meeting and they
will do that now.

I guess they should do that themselves. All I can say
is, that they are great people, working on several
other leftist projects as well, e.g. a newly found
leftist paper, that works from what I understood
already very much like indymedia (with open meetings
where everyone can walk in and distribute his/her
story and have it discussed.)

So, looking at point 7, I am not commenting on any of
the following points. Just the mailing list, because
Blicero seemed a bit confused about it, I guess I
can't explain it right, but I'll try again:
There is a mailing list set up, however subscription
is not available (that's what it says when you look on
the mailinglistlist), people have tried to subscribe
to it and it doesn't work. There used to be an
administrator for the IMC Beirut mailinglist, but he
has left the country, so they need to put a new
administrator in charge. How is that done?
Greetings
