A tiny advertisement, if you permit. Masimba Manyanya
and I have just coauthored a book (Zimbabwe's Plunge:
Exhausted Nationalism, Neoliberalism and the Search
for Social Justice) which tries to draw out the
prospects for progressive grassroots/shopfloor
contestation of both Zanu and the neoliberal wing of
the MDC. I hope it reaches some of you, as Weaver
Press will have a subsidised distribution going strong
within the next few weeks. The cover and UK
distribution blurbs (from Merlin Press) are attached.
In the US, our publisher is Africa World Press
(http://www.africanworld.com) and in SA it's U.Natal
Press. Any feedback? We'd warmly welcome it. We've got
a Jo'burg launch at Wits Grad School of Public and
Development Management on Thursday, 5PM. Harare launch
at the Book Cafe to be announced soon...
