Dear Sanjay, Shekhar,
  Great to hear you're creating a list for IMC-Mumbai! :)

Some technical suggestions: 

* IMHO, you should ask for the spamtrap method to be put in straight
away (listwork only does this if you ask for it!)

* You might want to both be list administrators, though with 
unrestricted posting there's probably very little work to do.

* IMHO, you should make the subscriber list visible only to suscribers,
(the default seems to be that any web surfer can read the list),
and allow people to post without being subscribers - by experience
this seems to be best for efficiency - though of course it's your
decision.

An organising suggestion:
  If you already have enough people to think you could be ready within
a month, you could probably fill in the initial request form at

http://newimc.indymedia.org

right now, which will let new-imc people start getting to know you
while you work through getting to know each other, outreach to other
groups, discussing the unity criteria and responding to the membership
criteria, etc.


Dear listwork, new-imc:
  Sanjay and Shekhar are both known to the imc-india mailing list and
i think they know about the new-imc process, e.g.:

and there are definitely some other Mumbai people on the imc-india
list (like Jayasankar) who are likely to make use of the list once it
is created, so this is an exciting development! I think the Mumbai
people will soon have organising ideas and experience that they can
feed back to the rest of the network, as well as the actual content
of the site!
