[New-imc] Seattle IMC going through the "New IMC Process"

hi everyone,

the seattle imc general collective has agreed to go through the new 
imc process.

as the first and one of the older imcs, we never went through the 
current process and we think it is a good idea for all imcs who have 
not gone through this to do so.  we hope by our example, that other 
imcs will be inspired to also make this choice.

we are doing this because (1) it seems fair and equitable that all 
imcs go through the same process to be a part of the network; (2) it 
will help us clarify our current internal policies at the local level 
and where we stand in relationship to these network principles (also 
helping us see where we could improve things); and (3) because this 
was a suggestion back when the principles were first discussed in san 
francisco, april 2001.

so my question to the group is, who would like to "shepherd" us 
through the process and what would be our first step?  i asked this 
question several weeks ago and i believe jay answered that he didn't 
think it was necessary for us to fill out the on-line form which 
starts the process and notifies the list of our desire to become a 
local imc in the network.  but some suggestions would be helpful.

we will begin discussing the principles and the criteria at the next 
general meeting (tuesday next week) and it would be good to have some 
clear guidance from this group for our own process as well as setting 
a strong precedent for other imcs who might be interested in going 
through this as well.
