No. It's

* 3 days on new-imc first.

* after that, 7 days on imc-process & imc-communication (simultaneously)

(The idea is that on new-imc it's a small bunch of people who judge
what we think will be accepted by the network, but we do not make the
final decision. It's only on imc-process & imc-communication where
there is any sort of "legitimacy" to say that it's a decision by
the network - hence the longer delay.)

After acceptance by the network (imc-process & imc-communication),
they should contact DNS as you say, but they should also update their
entry on

http://www.indymedia.org/contact

using the password they should have got when they filled in the form.

However, my feeling is that they still have quite a bit of
organising to do - on the people side of things - before being ready.

Please have a look at:
http://docs.indymedia.org/view/Global/NewImcHowHelpUs

(You are of course welcome to correct it/improve it/clarify it/etc.)

My own feeling is that they haven't said anything about "supporting
groups" and not much about outreach and public face-to-face meetings -
it's not clear if there's more than one activist group involved.

Of course, you can judge the social context much better than i can -
you're much closer.

Hope this answers your questions...
