[New-imc] IMC-Ithaca block of IMC-Rogue

Hi,

Hello, I'm Brian from Ithaca IMC.

I agree with Jay's feeling that IMC Ithaca needs to clarify its position
before anything further is done with respect to Rogue IMC's application. I
would also like to point out that IMC-Ithaca's decision with regards to
blocking rogue IMC from joining indymedia is not final - due to difficulty
getting a meeting time that works for every member of the group, Ithaca
IMC agreed "Decisions concensed upon must be briefly voted upon, and if
there is any dissent, opened for discussion again at the beginning of the
next meeting" at our July 28th meeting.

Unfortunately this wording (my own) is unclear, what it was intended to,
and has in practice meant is that we quickly read the items consensed upon
at the last meeting to make sure everything that happened at the last
meeting is ok with everyone present at the current meeting (this is clear
from looking at the other minutes).

That is to say, it is possible that the decision to block Rogue IMC may
itself be blocked at Ithaca IMC's next meeting. I don't mean to drag
everyone in to the intricacies of Ithaca's politics, just trying to
reiterate Jays point about clarification and time... It looks like dealing
with this fairly and thoroughly will take a good deal of both.

The only thing that worries me is the possibility of this interfering with
Rogue IMC's momentum, which would suck. Any ideas?

Peace,
Brian Szymanski
