hi everyone,
IMC Galiza looks like a good group, but i have some concerns.
(1) Information on open, public meetings is hard to find (i couldn't find it).
(2) point m. of membership criteria - the cities list is out-of-date
(3) open publishing - no comments seem to be possible

(1) should be easy to correct, but is important
(2) is minor, but should be easy for Debian geeks to fix ;)
(3) is important, but seems to be a common problem to IMC Nice, IMC
Paris, IMC Nantes and IMC Galiza, who all use spip-indy...

Could we try to sort out these problems, especially (3), before
accepting IMC Galiza internally at new-imc, please? i've emailed IMC
Nice and IMC Paris to find out whether it's me who is confused about
comments, or whether there really is a confusion or divergence of
viewpoints on whether or not comments should be part of open
publishing.

It would also be good people from IMC Galiza could join global lists,
especially:
imc-communication (already someone?)
imc-finance
imc-tech

and a regional list:
imc-europe at lists.indymedia.org

(or maybe it's time to make imc-iberia, if imc-europe is too busy?)

Indymedia is not just about local autonomy, it's also about networking
and good communication.

thanks
boud

All looks good :).

Great!

i cannot find information on where readers can find out times/dates/places
of open, public meetings.
(1) It would be good to put this clearly on the site.

Looks like a good start.

IMHO, the version 003644.html doesn't really count much - many of these
points can require a lot of work - just saying you agree is not the same
as doing the work of putting something into practice.

But this version looks OK to me:
http://imc-galiza.causaencantada.org/article.php3?id_article=57

except that

(1) it doesn't give information on how to participate in
public meetings.

(2) point M. - the list is not up-to-date with
http://lists.indymedia.org/cities.inc

It's here:
http://imc-galiza.causaencantada.org/article.php3?id_article=59

i'm a bit worried that
 (3) they seem to be using the same version of spip-indy which doesn't
seem to allow any comments to articles, which to me seems inconsistent
with open publishing.
