Hay algo veces cuando una extranjero ir a una pais y decir es bueno  
para comenzar una cmi. Pero los extranjeros no saben la situación y  
después algo tiempo ir a fuera la país. Cuando esta fue, gente en esta  
lugar piensan indymedia es una organización de rico extranjeros. En  
Guatemala exactamente esta situación fue con la cmi en xela.

La gente de indymedia chiapas tienen muchos contactos con grupos  
atreves todo america central. Especialmente grupos en la lucha contra  
Plan Puebla Panamá. Creo es muy importante para tu hacer contactos con  
ell at s también.


It's also important to make contact with the imc-latina at indymedia.org  
list. It's the group of indymedia centers in latin america. There are a  
number of times when internationals go to a country and say, it'd be  
great to start an imc. But the internationals often don't really know  
the local political situation and after a while they usually leave the  
country. When this happens it causes other people in that country to  
think that indymedia is just an organization of rich international  
activists. For example, this is exactly what happened with the IMC in  
Xela, Guatemala.

The people who are working with indymedia chiapas have many contacts  
throughout central america. Especially with groups who have been  
working agains Plan Puebla Panama. I believe it is especially important  
for you to contact them.
