[New-imc] Introduction

Hello.  My name is Susanna.  I've been working with Indymedia since August
2000.  I'm on the web editorial collective of the Philadelphia IMC, and am
part of the global translation network.  I mostly do radiojournalism and
news dispatch during demos, but I also work with IMC legal issues.  I've
collaborated with IMCs from Seattle, DC, NYC, Switzerland, Austria and
Italy, as well as various ad-hoc "IMCs" set up for special events, like the PGA
conference and the No Border camp.  I write translations regularly for
various Latin American IMCs, as well as IMCs throughout Europe.

I'm interested in the process of how a collective becomes an IMC, how
outreach and technical support for new IMCs are made, and what criteria
are used in determining what is an IMC... especially as there are so many
indepenedent media centers floating around that are not "officially" part
of the network.  I'd like to join the new-imc list.
