I'd agree that at this point it would be most informative and helpful to
know the answers to this question, as well as to the more general question
of official Indymedia policy on and the ideological difference between
hiding posts from the newswire pre- and post-publishing.

I'd also agree very strongly with this point. I would like us to use Open
Publishing for the Romanian IMC site, in one form or another, but the
concerns we have with it right now are more than just academic (as Joanne
has explained). Given the very real possibility that our newsire would
turn into a circus right away with "unrestricted" O.P., hurting us and to
some extent the whole IMC network, figuring out what to do about hiding
hate-speech posts and the like is (one) pressing issue. We're just trying
to prevent -- have a clear strategy for dealing with -- some guaranteed
ugliness and counter-productivity and disfunction for the future
IMC-Romania.
