Hola Pietro y NewIMC,
Les escribo Timo desde indymedia chiapas.  Ya desde hace tiempo estamos muy 
activos haciendo los prepartivos para la OMC en Cancun.  He estado en varias 
platicas con gente como Sheri, Evan, Pablo y Pablo y mas gentes de Indymedia 
Global sobre la necesidad de arrancar el sitio de cancun.indymedia.org  La 
propuesta que habiamos acordado es que arranquemos el sitio 
cancun.indymedia.org como un sitio temporal para la cobertura de los eventos 
de la OMC en Septiembre.  Luego si el grupo local decide que van a dar 
continuidad al centro y sitio de que ellos mismos comenzan de nuevo el newimc 
proceso despues de Octubre.
Ya esta la pagina, http://cancun.mediosindependientes.org y hasta incluso ya 
tiene un espejo en otro servidor pero en las ultimas reuniones de irc todo el 
mundo, tal cual como en la convocatoria general contra la OMC, hay una llamada 
para crear el sitio de cancun.indymedia.org...Esperamos que se puede ayudar lo 
mas rapido posible para crear el dominio cancun.indymedia.org y que dirige al 
servidor de http://cancun.mediosindependientes.org
Cualquier asistencia tecnico,favor de comunicar tambien con 
cmi at mediosindependientes.org a cargo de Kino quien esta trabajando la cuestion 
tecnica para el sitio.

This is Timo from Indymedia Chiapas.  For some months now we have been active 
working on the preparations for the WTO protests in Cancun.  I've been in 
several discussions with Global Indymedia folks like Sheri, Evan, Pablo 
etc...about the creation of http://cancun.indymedia.org.  The agreement that 
we discussed and then placed in front of the wtolists was to create a 
temporary cancun.indymedia.org site to cover the WTO and then to go through 
the newimc process if folks on the ground in cancun and the peninsula decide 
that they want to maintain an indymedia center there after the WTO leaves town.
http://cancun.mediosindependientes.org is alredy up and running as well as a 
complete mirror of the site on a separate server.  However, as in the last irc 
cancun discussion as well as the Global Call Against the WTO in Cancun, there 
is a general agreement about the need for the http://cancun.indymedia.org 
domain to point at and be access to http://cancun.mediosindependientes.org
We would like this to happen as soon as possible as many people are beginning 
to ask about the site.  if any technical assistance is required please contact 
Kino at cmi at mediosindependientes.org.
