i think boud proposal with someone followÃ-up of using 
cancun2003.indymedia.org
can be a good solution

in that case maybe we could leave also the domain name as a long term address so
that "disappearing link" syndrome is solved

so boud proposal could be reformulated

a. leaving the cancun2003.indymedia.org domain even long term
b. keep the specification on local imc and so on as in boud poroposal
c. maybe trying to set up a syndacation system like www.indymedia.org/g8 could
be good :))))


what do people think about this ?

ps i have to admit that this goes a bit in the direction of more
editorial/collective oriented idea of imc than the one i prefer of open/network
and that i prefer at large imc site for mobilitations that collect media
produced elsewhere than not "special issue webmagazine imc" that could give the
worng idea of imc as a the brand new information agency for alternative
journalists
on the other hand i know and esteem a lot of people involved into this and if
they feel the best thing is to have a temporary dedicated site where editorially
collect the news from cancun, let's try to make it a chance for local organizing
to startup
