just came out of an irc about this issue.
for my part, i really have far too much to think about to get into 
discussing the issues of themed imc's, or imc pages, or the local imc, 
city list issue, domain issue.. everything. maybe after september..
it would be very interesting.

personally...

a) i think cancun.indymedia.org should exist, so that it's not a "not 
found" or worse ends up in an internal browser redirect to search engine.

b) if it's a splash page, that's fine with me.

c) the issue of syndication is interesting and merits more time than 
fighting over the domain. where is all the news going to be compiled.? 
from the different imc's, the worldwide mobilisations?
www.indymedia.org/cancun would be great, if we had people compiling news 
sources. the dispatch site looks great. can people get on this task?

d) the software will make all the links point to the 
cancun.mediosindependientes.org domain once the first page has been 
reached, so unless somebody types up a link manually, and most people 
copy them from the browser location, we won't end up with any out of 
date links. not on sites, not in search engines as the result of spiders.
