Hey-o.
I'm Brian Szymanski. I reluctantly admit I have been working with Ithaca IMC
since its inception over 1.5 years ago ;-) I've also been doing tech work
for over a year, first with the zero.bandwidthcoop.org (a dada hosting
collective), and now as well with dega.indymedia.org which will also host
dada, and volunteer.indymedia.org which I am redesigning (which is why I
have access to the contact db). Uhh, let's see, I also am working with
Binghamton IMC (not official yet), am involved in a show on global
radio, and I think that covers the non-story stuff I'm doing with NIMC.
I'd like to be on this list not to shoot my mouth off, but only to help
bring new IMCs in to the network. And also, since I've been doing some
work in the contact db, it makes sense for me to be able to disclose this
information to the people on this list.
Speaking of which, I have changed imc puerto rico's status from approved
to live (they've been without a website since June!!! see
http://lists.indymedia.org/pipermail/imc-process/2003-June/004972.html),
thanks to the tech work mtoups and others have done to get that site
rolling. I will send a brief email to imc-process about this as well.
Peace,
Brian
