well normally wee keep subscription/archive public and make addresses appear not
recognizable as email address so as to limit spam to individuals participating
to list
in some rare cases we suggested closed list if the political situation does not
make it very safe to have open lists

well it's kind of difficult
try to come to reason with people in your collective
it's not so big a deal after all :)

well the reason for this go back in time
we basically stick to region (not necessarily continent-wide)
us and canada having A LOT of imc seemed easier to separate than to keep in the
same north-america section

and the rule is
local decide
so if all european imc decided to be listed under European Union, global network
would follow (we will NEVER do that don't worry :)))))
