My point was that maybe the "US IMC" is only planned to be as
minimalist as "Oceania Indymedia", except that the US group *does*
want to use the term "IMC".

new-imc and imc-process are two very different lists. One point of view
on their roles is:
* new-imc is a small working group, which only makes recommendations, and
(theoretically) does not make real network decisions.
* imc-process is the place where each local imc has a liaison and which
has at least some moral right to make global decisions (such as accepting
a new IMC or, probably, accepting a regional IMC syndication site).
Could i suggest removing new-imc from the thread now? (Unless someone from
new-imc really feels that we - new-imc - should be involved.)
Maybe moderators on imc-process could deal with this further...
