resources:
we have registered a domain, lawrenceimc.org, and our technical contact person has or has access to a server on which this domain is present. as for bandwidth and tech info please contact him. We have at least three people who have significant sysadmin/coding skills, all of whom are experienced with open source software (Linux).

outreach:
We\'re currently holding public meetings every week right after the end of our local peace demo. Last week, 250 people attended the demo, and 14 people came together in the first Indymedia meeting. In addition, I\'ve passed out about 200 handbills advertising our meetings. Both processes will continue for the foreseeable future.

introductory_statement:
1. to serve as a focus for local organizing, kind of like the North Carolina IMC. We envision IMCs for not only Lawrence, but also Topeka, Salina, Manhattan, Leavenworth, Kansas City, Ottawa, and so on. Kansas is a rural state, but with good net connectivity. (so maybe we should call it the Kansas IMC...)
2. to serve as a place to spread news not reported on in the local corporate (and \"public\") media - to serve as a clearinghouse for information about not only local byut also national and international events.
