hey hudson,
   Please look up

http://newimc.indymedia.org
http://docs.indymedia.org/view/Global/NewImcPageImprovements

and it would be good if you could develop good communication
(publicly archived mailing lists + face-to-face meetings) with
the IMC Arkansas

http://lists.indymedia.org/mailman/listinfo/imc-ar

and the Kansas City, Missouri people who are just starting
to organise:

http://lists.indymedia.org/mailman/public/new-imc/2002-December/003194.html

since i think you're geographically close to one another, and you can
better understand each other and guide each other through the initial
organising and then through making a real, functioning, grassroots,
but still non-hierarchical, network, if you start contacting each
other and developing trust now rather than later.

There may be other IMCs close to you. Check out
http://www.indymedia.org/contact.php3

There's also the question of scalability. If non-US new-imc people
have to handle US new IMCs, we'll quickly be smothered under the
workload.

solidarity
