new-imc working group is a group of volunteers. If you wish to
clarify an issue, it sometimes requires more time to repeat,
reexplain, read once again what someone wrote, etc.

Yes, i am saying that he/she should have received a password.
But better than going to the techs, i am suggesting that he/she
"go to http://www.indymedia.org/contact to update it".

http://www.indymedia.org/contact is a contact database.

tony, please don't be offended. bart and i tried to help, it's not
just that you were confused, but that there was a communications
failure. We weren't talking. Maybe you were just busy with indy and
other activism. i'm perfectly aware that UK is one of the key places
for stopping WWIII and i'm glad about what UK activists are doing.
But for whatever reason, communications between us failed. i felt
i was talking to a brick wall. However, i personally have no objection
to IMC Lancaster. As far as i'm concerned they're through the new-imc
process. But i only speak for myself. i cannot control DNS people or
persuade them that my personal approval has any weight. That's the
whole idea of having a clear process - others can look at the process
and judge without having to rely on any individuals. And if Subject
headers are in capitals, DNS and other people can more easily
look at a conversation.
The point of the howto page is to describe what we actually do (or
fail to do), not to say we do something we don't do.
Sarcasm isn't a way of solving a communications problem. i'm sorry
if you were upset.
i've updated the
http://docs.indymedia.org/view/Global/NewImcHowHelpUs
page.
Please feel free to clarify/update/modify it, and/or discuss it on
new-imc.
If you're happy with it, then probably this communications problem
is solved.
We have a world to rebuild - let's not get upset over communications
failures between us, but let's not ignore them either - let's try to
solve them.

PS: IMC Lancaster - i saw some comments about getting content on the
site and about outreach on your mailing list. IMHO, the two are closely
connected. Get local people of all sorts of backgrounds involved, and
they'll provide content because they know it's *their* independent
media site.
