Kansas City looks forward to working with you guys to cover any bases we
need to. We do already have a mission statement, ed. guidelines and our
logo, the last two of which we're in the process of finalizing and posting.
We also plan to have a meeting in the next week or so to set up our
editorial, tech and other committees as needed.

Outreach is something we still need to address but have talked about; I've
been in touch with Hudson in Lawrence and we agreed to keep each other up to
date on our progress. Derek in our group offered to wheatpaste meeting
announcements so we could get more people active in the group now that
there's a "there there," and I plan to hand out fliers again at our weekly
peace vigil which is averaging around 800 each Sunday (lots more people and
diversity than when I passed fliers out originally last fall). Lisa in the
group has offered to let kcimc co-table with her at some upcoming NOW and
gay/lesbian events. What we haven't talked about much yet is reaching out to
Latino and African American communities, but it's something we know we need
to address.

Thanks again for the offer to help us move forward. Scott Lewis has been
great and very helpful and we're ready to use this great site he's helped us
set up.
