I do not think this is the way forward for this list. I can
understand why Boud is asking for 'post approval' - he wants, along
with many of us to get these list working constructively, but i feel
this is only going to escalate conflict, and do nothing to solve the
initial argument.

>PROPOSAL V0.03 to put chuck on a "postings held for approval" list
>DEADLINE Wed 8 Jan 2003 17:00 GMT
>DURATION: This will only apply for six months (i.e. from 8 Jan 2003
>to 8 July 2003 if it is passed without a block on 8 Jan 2003).

All involved in the argument could appologies to this list (maybe
they are not yet ready to appologies to each other) and i would like
to see everyone tone down their language and hostility.

>(2) she has not yet started constructive (or any) discussion on the list
>which is most closely related to her request:

Yes the discussion has got lost - through argument and different
threads on different lists. This can be re-strated.

>(3) she has not yet created a mailing list on her requested theme, and
>it is difficult to see how any non-local collective can be organised
>without a mailing list, even if it is a regional + theme-oriented
>collective:

There is mass confussion about which list to use - or whether to
start a new one - this is not chucks fault. Facilitators will need to
decide on which list discussions take place. When decided clearly
stated and carried through. (so far three lists have been suggested!)
Personally i think a specific list would help to see who is
interested but lets give that space to be started!

>(4) although interested in homelessness, she has trivialised the
>possibility of networking with a major grassroots network of
>homeless people in the world's largest democracy who use direct
>action in the best Gandhian tradition:

I don't think is useful - i doubt if these are his views - this is a
discussion for the new list when it is set up.

I do not want to be drawn into talks of blocks etc - can this
proposal be re-worded and re-posted to move the situation closer to
consensus.

cheers tony
