[New-imc] starting IMC Romania - first question

Greetings from Cluj, Romania

A preliminary question about forming and IMC in Romania before sending you
the form.

First a short intro. We are a group from Cluj, Romania who recently
started a number of different media projects, a net.radio (actually it was
planned as a 1 watt station, but the laws here changed & now it’s
illegal), a video production group who is making some experimental stuff
on alternative culture in Romania for the local TV, and some web designers
& hardware people who make local training workshops. Some of the events we
organized were in collaboration with Next 5 Minutes – I’m one of the
editors of the international N5M4 team, you can check out our Cluj link at
http://www.n5m.org. Our radio/tv/& web production team in Cluj would like
to start an IMC Romania, and on January 24-25 we have a large gathering
with like-minded groups from other cities (an anarchist group from
Bucharest, an association of independent journalists, the peace institute,
an ecological group from timisoara, some philosophers & political
theorists & one novelist, two webzines & a group which organizes a yearly
festival of underground music) – during which we will draft the mission
statement and send in the new IMC form.

However, I noticed on the IMC contact page that Romania is listed under
requested IMCs? I checked with the people we collaborate with who are
coming to this meeting - who I think would have been the most likely
candidates in Romania who know about IMC and could have made the request -
and no one has. So as a point of clarification, could you please let us
know if a Romania IMC is already requested by someone else - in which case
we’d like to ask for contact info for whoever has started the process
rolling, so we can meet & coordinate efforts.
