The group that started the process a few months ago had set up a
mailinglist, check:
http://lists.indymedia.org/mailman/listinfo/imc-iran

You should write to them, but don't think that there is much happening - at
least I am not getting any mails even though I am on there.

About bilingual IMCs check IMC Palestine and IMC Beirut. They both have
Arabic (should be the same as farsi, no?). IMC Palestine is running on the
SF-active software, IMC Beirut is running on MIR software (check the
techpage on http://docs.indymedia.org), so anything you choose is
possible....

good luck,
blue

Hi Goudarz,

Are you the person who started the New-IMC process for Iran a few months
ago? If not, it might be good to get in touch with those people (does anyone
have their contact details) before proceeding. Your efforts to set up a
media
centre for Iranians to post independent news on is laudable, but ideally the
efforts should be led by local activists. I know there are many difficulties
in
doing so and having the server and support outside the country would be a
good idea, but it's still best to keep IMC's local, rather than set up an
"Iranians-in-exile" IMC.

Best,

 -F (one of IMC London)
