Hi CincyIMC,
This is Jay from the Philadelphia IMC. I'm also involved in the new-imc
working group, and sometimes work with aspiring IMCs from the U.S. to help
them get through the new-imc process. I'm so glad to see a Cincinnati IMC
is ready to form! I'm sure you have had the chance to check out the
new-imc documents at
"http://docs.indymedia.org/view/Global/NewImcSummary". If not, certainly
do. They'll give you a good idea of how to proceed.
When you've gone through those documents and are ready to take the next
step toward becoming part of the Indymedia network, drop the new-imc
working group a line again. We'll find someone to work with you and help
you through the process. Probably the best person/people to help will be
someone or several someones from the IMCs in the midwest. [note to any
midwestern imc folks getting this message through the new-imc list -- maybe
you'll want to be in touch with the forming CincyIMC soon, just to open
lines of communication.]
As the new-imc documents say, organize organize organize! Let us know if
you have any questions, and good luck!
Jay
