I can dig all of arcs conerns.
another concern is that speicif backing groups may try to play a
disproportionate role in the functioning of their local IMC which makes it
less "subjective" and can also cause it to become a mouth piece for the
most bulligerent/loudest member organizations.
What weve done here in peg is to establish collective and then try to get
members from each group to attend/help us.
I personally take the "its YOUR imc but we'll keep it up and running"
approach. that way groups can only attempt to "take control" by outposting
all other groups.
Its very important that imc operate indepednandtly of member groups as it
is a public info resource and NOT simply a vehicle for the wishes of any
groups organizing any sort of political activity.
The broad base of support is better to come from individuals with skills as
opposed to entire groups thus allowing IMC to run independant of the wishes
of other groups. This allows for more free expression particularly for the
folks that have critiques of the more boiterous groups.
Perhaps the diversity of groups should be re worded to be a diversity of
membership. this would counter the problem with bulligerent groups.
thats my 2 cents
how come its penny for a though but you always have to give 2 cents? what a
rip off.
