[New-imc] New IMC Process / Baghdad IMC

Dear New IMC people,

MY name is Mike from bristol.  I have been helping with bristol indymedia, and 
I have been asked to help with iraq indymedia, via some local women who have 
been out to iraq recently.

I have been posting to the new imc-baghdad list and am considering if another 
list imc-baghdad-support or imc-iraq-support would be a good idea.

I am looking at the new-imc request form and thinking about how we can help a 
group in iraq in this difficult time.

On this page http://newimc.indymedia.org/ there are some broken links where 
would be examples of
other groups policy statement, eg 
http://lists.indymedia.org/mailman/public/new-imc/2002-February/002839.html 
is currently broken.  Also a translation into arabic would be good.  If I am 
able to find someone to do this I will do so.

I have facility to host a site and have installed dadaIMC at 
http://baghdadimc.dyndns.org.  There are obviously a lot of issue here but my 
goal I am focusing on is to get a working site and pass it to people in iraq 
ASAP.  For that purpose, it would be helpfull to have the support of 
indymedia and to have the domain name baghdad.indymedia.org.

Can someone help me to do this?  I think there is enough already on the 
imc-baghdad to complete the application, the statement of intent is there and 
I personally would [do] accept this at least in the short term.

I believe that on this occasion more than ever we should act now and not 
hesitate because of some percieved or potential problems when there are none.
