The deadline was already called off by that point.  If Andy had not
raised a fuss I probobally would have never looked at the application at
all, trusting others had already done so.

But blocks were made, and a fuss was raised, and at that point the
deadline disappeared.  The fact that the debate continued beyond the 7
day period clearly shows this.  The blocks were valid and continue to be
so despite the actions of some to override process.
