[New-imc] IMC-Bloomington Followup

Hi, 

joe here from arkansas IMC.  I believe that I am going to be the one helping 
you get through the new-imc process to join the global IMC network.  It's 
very exciting to have another IMC join us. 

A few questions.... 

1.  Do you have a test site up yet, don't worry if you dont 

2.  Have you had a face to face meeting yet.  These are highly reccomended 
at this stage. 

3.  I read the mission statement, but could you send me a copy of the 
editorial policy. 

4.  Has everyone in the collective read the principles of unity,

and the memebership criteria
http://docs.indymedia.org/view/Global/MembershipCriteria 

These are the basic documents that allow our network to remain effective yet 
decentralized.  The collective has got to be concenced on these two 
documents before we can continue. 

5. have you contacted imc-tech at indymedia.org yet.  Your tech people should 
do this ASAP. 

Please be patient because the new-imc process takes a while as you might 
expect of a global anti-heirachial all-volunteer media network.  It is all 
worth it however when one more local well-organized experiment in media 
production takes off. 

Also start to look through documents in the imc documentation project.  It 
is not neccessary to read it all by any means, but it is interesting to 
start learning about.  http://docs.indymedia.org/ 

Finally, lets try to keep most of our dialougue off global lists.  We will 
cc mew-imc and imc-process important docs, but we dont need to overwhelm the 
lists.  This is not a real super strict process so please dont be formal 
with me because down south formalities just don't fly.  Welcome to the 
people's news network.
